Design with Martabat for Clearer Campaigns

I was deep into finalizing the visual assets for a new product launch when I hit a roadblock. The text on my Instagram post felt flat, generic, and just not grabbing attention. That’s when I reached for Martabat, a handwritten font from Script Amp that brought a fresh energy to the campaign.

Martabat isn’t just another script font—it has a unique rhythm and flow that feels personal yet professional. Its strokes are deliberate, its curves soft but confident, and it carries a mood of authenticity. It’s the kind of typeface that makes your message feel like it’s coming from someone you trust, not a corporate machine.

Choosing the Right Font for a Product Launch

For this campaign, I needed something that would stand out in a fast-scrolling feed. The initial design had a clean sans serif font, which was great for readability but lacked personality. I wanted something that could elevate the brand voice without overwhelming the visuals.

Martabat fit perfectly. I used it for the headline of the Instagram post: “Introducing Our New Eco-Friendly Collection.” The handwritten style gave it an approachable feel while still maintaining a sense of elegance. It made the message feel more human and relatable, which is exactly what we were aiming for.

Using Martabat Across Different Campaign Elements

The beauty of Martabat is how versatile it is. I didn’t just use it for the main headline—I incorporated it into other parts of the campaign too. For example:

Martabat also performed well in dark mode designs. When paired with a light background, the contrast helped the text pop without needing extra effects or outlines. This made it ideal for mobile previews and thumbnails where every detail counts.

Font Pairing and Readability Tips

While Martabat is expressive, it’s important to pair it with complementary fonts to maintain balance. I often go with a clean sans serif font like Montserrat or Open Sans for body text. This combination ensures that the message remains easy to read while keeping the visual interest high.

When using Martabat for short headlines or callouts, I make sure to keep the text concise. Long paragraphs in a script font can be hard to follow, especially on smaller screens. So I limit its use to key messages, logos, or decorative titles where its character can shine without distracting from the overall design.

Practical Considerations Before Using Martabat

Before diving into any project, I always check the font details. Martabat comes with several styles, including alternates and ligatures, which give me more flexibility in design. It supports multiple languages, which is essential if the campaign targets a global audience. And since it’s a commercial font, I know I can confidently use it in ads, templates, merchandise, and client campaigns without worrying about licensing issues.

Another thing to consider is file format. I prefer using OTF or TTF formats for better compatibility across different design tools. It’s also good to test how the font looks on various devices—especially mobile phones, where small text can be tricky to read.

Real-World Impact of Typography Choices

Typography isn’t just about aesthetics—it plays a crucial role in how your message is received. With Martabat, I noticed that engagement increased slightly on posts where the font was used. People commented that the design felt more personal and engaging compared to previous campaigns with more standard fonts.

It wasn’t just about looking good; it was about feeling right. Martabat helped us communicate our brand identity more clearly, making our campaign feel more authentic and trustworthy.

Whether you're launching a new product, running a seasonal sale, or promoting a webinar, choosing the right font can make all the difference. Martabat offers a stylish, readable, and adaptable solution that works well across a variety of digital marketing channels.
